It's time to look at one of the advantages of offshore wind turbines, compared to onshore turbines. With the onshore turbines, there's those many birds which can get smacked real good with the spinning turbine blades. Once that happens, people tend to find bird carcasses lying around on the ground in the area of the wind farms. Now, if it's an endangered species which gets smacked and deposited on the ground, the obvious evidence can potentially lead to some kind of problems. Well, offshore wind turbines actually appear to be much "cleaner" and more subtle about things. When birds get smacked with the turbine blades at offshore facilities, they simply drop into the water and most likely disappear, possibly to become the meal of some type of marine life. Possibly a bird fluttering in the water might even attract a shark. Truly, these offshore wind turbines help to dispose of the incriminating evidence, especially if it's one of those endangered species, so the general public is none the wiser to what is really going on.
