Description
WOBURN, MA — Woburn Public Schools will bring elementary students in full-time April 5 and older students April 26, Superintendent Matthew Crowley told the School Committee Tuesday.
Under updated state rules, remote learning will only count toward time requirements for families that choose it beginning April 5 for elementary students and April 28 for middle school students. The current hybrid model will no longer be permitted.
Beginning April 5, middle school students in Woburn will be brought in for full days, but still following the hybrid schedule.
The state did not set a deadline for switching to full in-person learning for high school students, but the district will bring them back at the same time as the middle school students.
The district sent a survey out Wednesday, due Monday, for families that are looking to change models. Fully-remote learning remains available for families that choose it.
