Join us for the first Slow Food Producer Panel. We'll be redefining what it means to be local with our panel of local food advocates! Join us in-person or virtually for the first of three Slow Food Columbus Producer Panels. On April 27, we'll be redefining what it means to be local from our panel of local food advocates. Our speakers include: Dustin Butler - The Butcher & GrocerMichelle White - Bexley, Clintonville and Upper Arlington Farmers Markets & Ohio Farmers Market NetworkAdrienne Williams - Growing and Growth CollectiveJennifer Williams - Weiland's MarketWhat does "local" mean? Is it defined by distance? Is it defined by place? And, how does the role of local food support the Slow Food principles of good, clean and fair food? We'll explore how a new restaurant and seasoned butcher shop, an independent, family grocer, a farmers market and an urban agriculture nonprofit organization define local food, how that definition is woven throughout their work and communicated to their audiences and the ways that their interpretation drives their support for local growers and makers. Hosted by the Cleaver restaurant in Grandview, in-person tickets will include two options: Option #1: $25 - Chef Jay's appetizer selections + social + panel discussion - OR - Option #2: $65 - Limited availability!
