I agree with that post 100%! Since the Breweries don't want to pay musicians for entertainment maybe we musicians should all go there and ask them to serve us FREE BEER ALL NIGHT! You know, times are hard and we are all just getting by with limited funds and we can hardly pay the rent and it's all because of the virus. You think they'll serve us free beer based on their same logic? Hell no they won't. Therein lies the hypocrisy of Breweries trying to justify not paying musicians or giving them next to nothing for entertaining their patrons. In case you missed it here's what that post had to say. "Musician's provide entertainment. We are not background noise. When the music stops customers leave. Customers don't go to breweries to just drink beer. They also go to socialize, listen to live music, dance, have fun and maybe get laid. Breweries exploit musicians in order to entertain their brewery customers for almost no cost. Musicians that play for nothing or next to nothing are scabs. Breweries have received thousands of dollars from the City, Trump and now Biden. Breweries have had some of their rent forgiven due to Covid. Breweries are not a charity, they are in business for profit. Most breweries without question exploit musicians. Most if not all brewery customers don't know that breweries are exploiting musicians.
