Looking for BASS PLAYER

I am being positive getting a jump on things but starting post inoculation… Middle-age and later middle-age guys (vocals, drums, & guitar) with a families and jobs looking for a BASS GUITAR PLAYER to join our band. Similar musical tastes or openness to the type of music we have listed - really important so we can carve out our niche. Open to any age or gender with like taste in music and reasonable guitar skills. We’d like to find someone who can switch-off leads with current guitar (me) – two guitars that mesh well together. Also, proximity is important to reduce rehearsal hassles. We play in the Western Burbs, Naperville area. Music Types: Important we get this right to avoid tension or boredom. In a nutshell; up-beat, roadhouse type music. We can put our own twist on cover tunes or play them like we hear them. • Looking to play “roadhouse” type music like the Fabulous Thunderbirds, for example • Artists with heavy blues influence: Rolling Stones, Clapton, Chuck Berry • Upbeat, cool groove blues: Slim Harpo, Little Walter, Lazy Lester, Wolf, Elmore James, Freddie King • Open to a lot more, non-pop music (Clash, Gregory Issacs, Bob Dylan – as non-blues examples) Road Map Forward: Practice space at my house once per week as schedules permit (Thursdays preferred). Find our groove. Establish a 35-40 tune set list. Open mic and gig once per month, if possible. Sprinkle in new tunes here and there to keep it interesting.
