Position Title: Inventory Control Wage: $15-$16/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7am-3:30pm Looking for a new career opportunity with a company that offers excellent benefits and advancement opportunities? Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Ensure shop inventory is organized and issued in an efficient manner - Continuously review shop workflow to determine and manage shop inventory storage requirements - Recommend to leadership process, workflow, and material storage improvements - Maintain an accurate inventory of shop material - Investigate and resolve inconsistencies with inventory - Use ERP to assist with recording deliveries, inventory, issuing, shipments, and stock levels - Check shipments when they arrive to ensure orders have been filled correctly and goods meet specifications and place material using industrial equipment in appropriate locations - Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers - Locate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and supplier interviews to gather information about products to be ordered - Place purchase orders with qualified vendors for materials that meet production requirements - Operate heavy equipment and machinery in the performance of these essential duties - Properly order new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies - Provide additional backup support for buying and shipping & receiving - Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner - May be required to drive a vehicle for business purposes occasionally - Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for employee job performance - Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred - Knowledge base of inventory control functions - Ability to respond to inventory control activities with a positive attitude - Ability to communicate clearly with other employees - Proficient use of Microsoft Suite applications, including Office, Word, and Excel - Ability to learn and use additional software as needed - Good organizational and time-management skills - Ability to use calculators and computers to perform computations and analyses of data - Must be able to operate industrial equipment (forklift, hi-lo, truck, and etc.) - Demonstrated problem solving capability - Ability to complete daily tasks with limited supervision and minimal errors requiring re-work - Ability and willingness to work overtime and non-standard schedule: nights, weekends and holidays as/if required - Current valid driver’s license Please email resume with contact information or apply online at: About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 45 offices throughout the Midwest.
