Dance Nutrition Study
Are you interested in how to fuel your body appropriately for dance?
Help us discover the best way to fuel by participating in this study!
Who is eligible:
-Modern, contemporary, or ballet female dancers, age 18-45
- Dance the above styles at least 10 hours/week
- Healthy with a regular menstrual cycle
- Not on birth control, hormone therapy, pregnant, or lactating
-Do not smoke, use vapor or nicotine products
-Not have any conditions or medications that can affect digestion, absorption, or metabolism
-No history of disordered eating patterns
-Not currently trying to lose or gain weight
-Not following a strict diet (ex. Vegan, Keto)
What to expect:
-High-carb, low-fat diet & low-carb, high-fat for a month each (meal plans & recipes provided)
- Use of an app to track food & physical activity
- Measure your recovery from dance
-Performance tests before and after each diet
