Tonka is a sweet, protective boy. He was homed to the wrong home the first time and was brought back at 9 months with some fear issues. i have kept him for 6 months and he has come around fantastically. He loves women. But is still a little leary of strange men, but if you are looking for a dog that will alert when people arrive he will do that. And know to stop once you acknowledge the "threat" (most of the time unless he really doesn't like the person) i will not let him go to someone he doesn't like. He has a great nose and would be a great hunting hound but he needs to be treated gently. I don't think he would take another owner that mistreats him.
