Join us for Mobile Makerspace in the Park, a family-friendly event full of hands-on fun and activities for all ages! On May 1st, Made New Makerspace is kicking off a summer of fun in the parks with our first Mobile Makerspace in the Park, an event that brings makerspace creativity out to Omaha's city parks! At the Mobile Makerspace, visitors of all ages will be able to learn about STEM technology and even create take-home items using a variety of workstations, such as: Laser Engraver3D PrintersCNC MachineElectronicsSewing MachinesPapercraftingAnd many more!Bridge Building Competition: At 12:30, we're holding a bridge building competition. Come by yourself, or as a team and compete to see who can build the best bridge! We'll provide all the building materials and instructions. The winners with the best bridge will win a prize package worth over $100! Rocket Launch Demo: Join us at 3:45 to end our day in style, with rocket launches! We're firing off several model rockets at the end of the day, including a 3D printed model rocket! All day activities: All day long, you can join us for making a few pieces of flare at our button making press. If you're a fan of papercraft, there will be a craft area set up all day for this as well! In addition, there will be an all-day building brick station for the younger kids. Scheduled activities: We have LOTS of fun scheduled activities throughout the day.
