This conference is designed to help parents grow in their ability to make disciples of their children. Come be encouraged, and equipped! It is our vision that the "Imitators of Christ: Parent Discipleship Conference" would be used by God to help Moms and Dads become the primary Disciple Makers in their homes. We all know that it is not the job of the school to raise our kids, and it is not even the job of the church to raise our kids. Raising kids is the job of the parents, and we want to give you some excellent tools about how you can strengthen your ability to make disciples from your kids. We have planned a day conference of refreshing messages from local Pastors, and leaders from the Baptist State Convention of NC. Pastor Kyler Smith will be the keynote speaker. He is the campus Pastor of Hickory Grove Baptist, North Campus. Jesse Watkins will kick off the day early in the morning, and he has served as Lead Pastor of Friendship SBC for 9 years. In the middle of the day, you will hear breakout sessions from Cheryl Markland and Mark Smith, who have served the Baptist State Convention of NC for many years in the area of Children's Ministry and Family Ministry. Also,, we are pleased to have with us Chad Ferrell, a brand new church planter in the Charlotte-Metro area, to help sharpen your ability to study the Bible with your kids. During the Parents' Conference, we will be holding a simultaneous Childrens' Conference on our property. This event will be guided by the North Carolina Director of AWANA ministry, David Roach. He is a talented and energetic ministry leader, who will be leading your kids ages 3 years old - 5th grade, along with other talented volunteers. Parents, you spend 18 years pouring out yourself into your kids. This day is designed for others to pour into you. Come and be refreshed and encouraged with other parents, as we all seek to be Imitators of Christ!
