Join us to celebrate art and the collective movement to end cash bail in New Orleans. Artist Journey Allen will reveal her mural about the struggle to end cash bail, and food will be provided by Addis NOLA, New Orleans' hottest Ethiopian spot. Money bail is an unconstitutional practice that disproportionately harms Black and brown people, drains public resources, and criminalizes poverty. Too many community members sit in jail for months on end simply because they are too poor to make their bond. Let's learn, eat, sing, dance, and imagine the liberated and just New Orleans we are working to create.
