Description

We are an established commercial cabinet shop, providing Architectural Woodwork / Millwork / Casework on commercial projects. Typical projects include educational facilities, municipal projects and federal government projects. We are currently seeking an experienced carpenter to supervise, oversee and effectively run multiple installation projects at a time. The Project Supervisor will be responsible for the coordination of all field operations, such as scheduling, managing installation employees, ensuring quality control, and job site safety. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Ability to manage multiple field activities and projects simultaneously; -Effectively resolves issues and problems; -Forecast manpower requirements; -Ability to prioritize projects, work against deadlines and organize work flow with multiple interruptions; -Monitor work for compliance - identify deficiencies and take corrective action as needed; -Participate in pre-construction, progress, staff and safety meetings; -Oversee daily assignments of crews, including scheduling, assignments, attendance, etc; -Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and secure; -Manage detailed plans for the successful completion of the scope of work with a thorough understanding of blue prints; -Examines work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules; -Prepare daily job reports and schedule updates; -Must be comfortable with traveling to job sites located primarily in the Hampton Roads area; -Inspect all finished work to ensure completion with the highest quality and exceeding customer expectations; -Keep company-assigned truck clean and organized; -Must have a valid driver's license and be able to secure access to military facilities. *** Please submit experience, salary requirements and a working phone number. *** ***** WE WILL ONLY CONTACT YOU BY PHONE ! ***** Phones calls and/or walk-ins will not be accepted.
