Description

We throw out so much paper each year. What happens to it? How does old paper get turned into new paper? Paper can be used for writing messages, painting, cutting and pasting, and even sculpting. But how is it made? In this class, we will use a blender and a wooden frame to recycle old paper and make it new again. Once it is done, It will need to sit in a press overnight to dry. Each participant will have a chance to experiment with different methods and styles of papermaking and once it's dry, you can take it home for whatever projects you might desire. Great for learners of all ages. Guests are asked to be on time for events. MakerSpace Charlotte dues-paying members can check their email for a monthly Access Code to unlock member discounts on Eventbrite during checkout. Face coverings are required. Masks must cover the nose and mouth, as mandated in NC. Hand sanitizer and bathrooms are available for hand washing during the event. Guests will be asked to maintain social distance during the class. MakerSpace Charlotte is located in the brick side door, up the wheelchair ramp. Ring bell for entry. Want more?
