Winter is sweetly beautiful, with her soft brown eyes and gentle ways. She is ready for a little warm weather and fun. She does get a little startled by loud noises and would prefer a home with a laid back, quiet routine. She'd also prefer a home with a fenced yard because she can panic on leash if she hears too much commotion. When you see this girl in her element, you get to see what true happiness is! She loves to play with her trusted humans and other dogs. She's just recently discovered toys and has decided they're quite fun! Our process: If you are interested in Winter or any of our adorable adoptables, please fill out an adoption application from our website. If we feel it's a good match, we can make plans for a meet and greet at one of our twice-monthly trips to Chesapeake, or you can schedule a visit at the shelter. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only, as we are a volunteer-run rescue organization. All PAWS dogs are spayed/neutered, and current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm. All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
