SAN RAFAEL, CA — A block of 5th Avenue between B and C streets will be closed Monday due to a hotel construction project. The street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the AC Marriott Hotel construction project, city officials said. The 140-room, 54-feet tall hotel project was approved in April 2019 and is expected to be completed this fall. The project began in November of 2019 with the demolition of a 10,600-square foot office building.
