The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reported 411 new COVID-19 infections Wednesday and 8 additional deaths from the pandemic disease.
Out of 13,236 test results received in the past day, 3% were positive, and the 14-day rolling average of positive results ticked up to 2.9%.
Hospitalizations on Wednesday decreased to 284 from Tuesday's 290. The number of patients in intensive care dropped by 13 to 84.
Public health officials reported 20 community outbreaks in the last seven days that were connected to 81 cases.
During the year-long pandemic, there have been 266,317 confirmed COVID-19 cases in San Diego County and 3,470 deaths.
The county's first and largest vaccination super site at Petco Park will close permanently after Saturday because the Padres are preparing for baseball season set to begin in April.
As of Wednesday, 27.2% of San Diego County residents have received at least one dose, and 17.1% are fully vaccinated against coronavirus, according to the agency.
