Job Summary:
Wide Effect has immediate opportunities for an Overhead Door Service Technician who is responsible for providing customers with excellent service. Candidates are responsible for driving to customers business and residence to complete install or service job.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Inspects service trucks and completes daily sheet.
Gathers assigned job sheets for the day. Determine what materials or equipment needed to perform the install or service task.
Pulls the necessary materials and equipment for install/service job; then loads in the company vehicle.
Contacts customer before leaving warehouse-only if not previously done by coordinator.
Determine any safety rules at work site and ensure all PPE is available.
Installs or services equipment as indicated on the job sheet. Parts and equipment will be installed per manufacturer instructions.
Cleans the install or serviced location; sweeps or paints; determines what is necessary.
Restocks the parts in the warehouse not used at job site.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
• Performs 8 hours of a work day in a standing position in a warehouse and on job sites.
• Frequently lifts or moves objects/freight & equipment up to 501bs and or moves objects that weight more than 100lbs.
• Reaches overhead to remove and store freight in high shelving areas.
• Frequently bends, lifts, stoops to install or service customer on site jobs.
• Climbs ladders at job site.
• Uses fine hand manipulation to complete install/service jobs.
• Frequently accesses freight for damages.
• Climbs stairs to employee lounge and conference room.
