Description
Horse Farm needs Assistant(s) to work two-part job with specific hours on weekends
1. Part 1: Work 3 - 4 hours between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday assisting with care of horses, equipment and facility. Additional work at same hours may be occasionally available on weekdays
2. Part 2: Work 5 to 6 hours between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM Saturday. Flexible start time, but no later than 8:30 a.m. Work includes feeding horses, turning horses out, cleaning stalls and other duties as assigned.
In summary, work totals 8 - 10 hours (with 1 -2 hour lunch break) on Saturday and about 3 hours on Sunday.
Preference given to candidates who can work both parts of the job, but willing to discuss hiring two employees or to consider job sharing.
Experience with horses and farm machinery is helpful but not required.
Periodic flexible additional hours of general maintenance and landscaping work may also be available.

Candidates must be mature, reliable, at least 18 years old, and have own transportation and health insurance.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and tolerate outdoor work in all seasons.
Will pay $10 per hour for 1 to 3 days of training as needed, increasing to $12 per hour upon completion of training.
Paid monthly by check only. Possibility of work in exchange for reduced board for show hunter or jumper enthusiast.
