Call For Art: conVERGEnce Exhibit Dates: May 29 – July 18, 2021 Deadline for entries: THURSDAY, March 25, 2021, midnight PST In a time of extraordinary flux, the exhibit will explore concepts of merging, verging and combining in shape, form, color, and meaning. How do artists investigate coming together—or coming apart—in their practice? The exhibit will feature abstract and narrative work including all media, 2D and 3D. JUROR Susan Snyder is a partner with Oliver Caldwell in the Caldwell Snyder Gallery, a leading contemporary art gallery representing many of the most significant international painters and sculptors of the 21st century. Founded in 1983, the gallery now has three locations in San Francisco, St. Helena, and Montecito. All entrants must be U.S. resident artists 18 and over. You are invited to submit up to 5 digital images of your original artwork completed in the past five years, not previously shown in a MarinMOCA or Artists of MarinMOCA exhibit. Artists currently represented by the juror are ineligible for this call. This exhibit is open to all art media. Only online entries with digitally uploaded images will be accepted. Oversized artworks that do not have a waiver will not be juried. FEES A non-refundable entry fee will be charged. Entry fee for Non-members: $35 for up to 3 entries or $50 for 4-5 entries. Entry fee for Artists of MarinMOCA members: $30 for up to 3 entries or $45 for 4-5 entries. Diptychs and triptychs count as one piece; use only one image of entire diptych or triptych. 3D Artists should consider uploading a single image that includes two views for each artwork submitted. Fees to be paid online via PayPal or credit card during the digital entry process (see Entry Procedure and Digital Image Format instructions on the prospectus). AWARDS First Place: $500.00 Second Place: $300.00 Third Place: $100.00 Non-monetary Honorable Mention awards may be given at Juror's discretion.
