Press release from the Wright County Government: March 18, 2021 At 8 a.m. Friday, March 19, the Wright County License Center will open up more than 600 driver's license renewal appointments covering the period of March 29 through April 9 on the Wright County website under the "Make an Appointment" tab. As noted earlier, the grace period for having an expired driver's license ends March 31, so all licenses will need to be current by Thursday, April 1. All other transactions – license plates, tabs, title transfers, game and fish licenses, etc. – are handled at the walk-up window on the south parking deck of the Wright County Government Center. No appointments are necessary for any of these transactions. Walk-ups are accepted for driver's license renewals, but the wait time can be up to one hour because those with appointments are given a priority.
