Description
Badass upright bassist wanted for traditional-ish (80's style) psychobilly trio. I am a guitarist/ vocalist with a whole set of original material.
If I had to chose a few artists to represent what I'm going for with this project:
1. Batmobile - like their early stuff, but faster.
2. Grims - their speed, but maybe more traditional or rockabilly vibes
3. The Ricochets - huge influence, both the sound of the band and the sound/style of the bass.
4. Krewmen - especially "Into the Tomb" album, huge influence, among others. Probably the closest to what I'm going for here.
Looking for a real shredder. Not all the time (juxtaposition is everything, there is no light without the dark) but a pretty good mix of traditional swung rockabilly slap and straight double-time slap. Often this mix within a song.
To be honest I'm not really sure where to take this (it's not exactly the time for gigging) but I can't shake the feeling that the time is right to get this ball rolling again.
Experienced and motivated here, if this sounds like fun gimme a shout.
