Description
The Assembler is responsible for performing assembly and tests on electro/mechanical parts using hand or power tools under close to moderate supervision and according to clearly defined work instructions.
Job Duties:
• Assembles, winds, wires, tapes, solders, measures, dips and cleans electro/mechanical parts using various tools.
• Works with written specifications, visual aids and verbal instructions.
• May prepare logs and maintain production records.
• Will participate in continuous improvement programs.
• Always maintain Seymour Duncan Quality Standards
Experience & Skills Required:
• Must read and write the English or Spanish language.
• Must be able to add, subtract, divide and multiply
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Manual dexterity (right and left hands)
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
• Follow through of directions, whether written or verbal
• Must be able see and work with fine wire.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Should be able to sit and/or stand up to 7.6 hours per day.
• Must be able to wear safety glasses at all times.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to repetitively grip, twist, push, pull or manipulate with either hand due to the “hand build” nature of the product.
• Must be able to rotate within and between the different work areas.
Optional Experience:
• Soldering
• Electronics assembly
• Use of Machine shop tools
