Press release from the City of Huntsville Parks & Recreation Department: 2021-03-18 Flooding issues have closed several areas within the Parks and Recreation Department. Access to a majority of the Hays Nature Preserve has been closed today (Thursday, March 18) due to flooding issues. The only areas accessible at this time are the Main Entrance on U.S. Highway 431 and the Natural Playground and Bar Lake areas. Hays Nature Preserve In addition, the Indian Creek Greenway and Creekwood Park are also closed.
