The Alice Ferguson Foundation’s mission is to connect people to their local watershed through education and stewardship. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are following our local jurisductions COVID-19 guidelines and we are limiting the number of volunteers on our site. Please register if you are interested in joining this event - if you can no longer attend please let us know so we can open up space. Details are below. Location: This event is located at our flagship cleanup site at Piscataway Park, 2687 Bryan Point Rd, Accokeek, MD 20607. Time: We have 3 time slots available to limit the number of the volunteers on our site 8:00 am - 10:00 am - time slot 1 10:00 am - 12:00 pm - time slot 2 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm - time slot 3 About the Potomac River Watershed Cleanup: The Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup has become a decisive catalyst for progress that ignites people’s interest and passion for the environment and community action. The largest regional event of its kind, the Cleanup provides a transforming experience that engages residents and community leaders and generates momentum for change. The Potomac River Watershed Cleanup has grown from a small shoreline cleanup at Piscataway National Park to a watershed-wide network. What started as a few cleanup events along the Potomac River is now a regional event spanning Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
