The Clark County Sheriff’s Office will provide Safety Village- a basic safety educational program for 4-5 year old children in Clark County The Clark County Sheriff’s Office will provide Safety Village- which is a basic safety educational program for Clark County children entering kindergarten and first grade (4 to 5 years old). Safety lessons include pedestrian, motorist, fire, street & safety signs, pet safety, home safety, 9-1-1, school bus safety, child personal safety, D.A.R.E. concepts, drugs and poisons. These safety awareness lessons are conducted over a 4 day period of two and one-half (2) hours per day. There is no charge for attending Safety Village and all handouts are free- including a t-shirt and deputy hat they will wear on the last day of class for a graduation program. We encourage families and friends to attend graduation to see what safety lessons have been learned. Parents can drop their children off 15 minutes before the program starts and are encouraged to attend the last 15 minutes of each program to see their children in a school atmosphere. Please dress your child for inside activity and please no hats or toys that could get lost. It is more important than ever that we provide our children with an in­teractive place where they can learn. Our classes will teach your chil­dren safety lessons that will last a lifetime. Note: there is a limit of 12 students per class to ensure compliance with COVID health and safety standards.
