Benfield Pops Symphonic Band will be starting season in April. We are a non- profit, volunteer group of musicians that perform for both public and private events. We are in need of saxophones and flutes the most but, all are welcome who wish to play. There are no auditions or paid dues required to play with us. We do however ask that you are comfortable playing grade 3-4 difficulty in music or be willing to work extra on your parts. We normally rehearse at Our Shepard Lutheran Church in Severna Park, MD. However, there have been some changes made due to the pandemic. Sectionals are starting in Pasadena until use of the church parking lot becomes open. We are using a combination of sectional rehearsals outside and zoom in preparation for outdoor concerts this summer and fall. We do follow CDC guidelines including temperature checks and sanitization measures. Sectionals are currently scheduled one weekend per section on Saturdays at 2:00pm. If you're looking to have a good time with great musicians and play fun, challenging, popular music, please feel free to join us. Ages range from middle school to retiree.
