JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: MAINTENANCE WORKER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Repair and maintain irrigation system, (keep the grass watered, change out broken sprinkler heads, change out sprinkler valves, program water cycles for optimal watering, adjust spray patterns on sprinkler heads to obtain optimal watering and assist changing out booster pumps when needed) Small plumbing repairs, broken pvc pipes, unclog toilets, add bleach to septic system as needed. Solve minor electrical issues (change out light fixture, change light bulbs, change ballasts in florescent lights, change a GFCI outlet) Pressure washing Picking up trash around grounds It is the responsibility of the maintenance person to ensure that the grounds and facility are in great working order for the events. We are looking for someone who is friendly, kind, hardworking and willing to ask questions if they do know something. Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor. • Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for weekly pickup. • Paints interior and exterior walls and trim when needed. • Maintains and repairs simple plumbing and electrical systems. • Maintains and repairs simple wood parts of buildings. • Cleaning and maintaining (a) pond(s) so it/they is/are algae-free and flows well. • Ensure that the irrigation system is in proper working order. • Repairs fences, gates, walls, and walks. • Cleans grounds and removes trash. • Table and chair setup and take down (events only)
