We have an urgent need for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to start ASAP for our client in Texas! SUMMARY Supports the Shipping Department by performing key administrative tasks to ensure timely and accurate shipment of product. Hours will be 11am-7pm Monday-Friday ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned. In each of the duties listed below the employee is expected to perform to the highest standards of quality, to strive for maximum customer satisfaction, and to continually look for ways to improve the methods, practices and procedures of this position: Carries out all duties necessary to ship applicable orders both domestically and internationally and notifies and coordinates the company’s domestic carrier shipping needs. Generates all domestic carrier bills of lading forms. Communicates with carriers to verity POD’s (proof of delivery) for order entry. Performs final inventory transactions prior to shipments and audits sales orders to make sure all other transactions have been done properly. Works with the inventory coordinators and/or schedules to correct errors. Coordinates with foreman for second shift UPS shipments. Completes all international packing slips for orders shipping via container load services, airfreight, or through third-party agents. Inputs all confirmation of dispatches for orders shipping. Enters data of all automatic shipping notices (ASN's) into the business system immediately after shipment or as instructed by the Ship-ping/Receiving/Warehouse Supervisor. Notifies and coordinates the company's domestic carrier shipping needs as in-structed by either the system-generated sales order or as instructed by the Shipping & Logistics Supervisor. Prepares Receiving Reports. Keys information into the computer. Expedites material through Receiving Inspection. Prepares shipping and receiving paperwork and maintains status records for material sent to outside processors. Schedules trucking pickup and delivery. Delivers miscellaneous material. Files as required. Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and communicates with truck lines to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments. Carries out all duties necessary to ship applicable orders both domestically and internationally and notifies and coordinates the company's domestic carrier shipping needs. Performs final inventory transactions prior to shipments and audits sales orders to make sure all other transactions have been done properly. Works with the inventory coordinators and/or schedules to correct errors. Communicates with carriers to verify POD's (proof of deliveries) for order entry. Maintains on-time shipping performance chart and publishes weekly report. Audits freight bills to make sure correct carriers and discounts are being used. Inputs all confirmation of dispatches for orders shipping through the Shipping Department into SAP. Completes all international packing slips for orders shipping via container load services, airfreight, or through third-party agents. Types all domestic carrier bills of lading forms.
