Job Summary: • Provide customer service by assisting in the packing and loading of household goods in a safe, timely and efficient manner Essential Functions: • Must be willing to travel in the region • Ability to operate a box truck or tractor trailer (as applicable to your CDL qualification) • Excellent communications skills • Ability to be on time and reliable; ability to meet deadlines • Knowledge of DOT regulations • Pack household belongings for customers using supplies supplied by the company • List household belongings on inventory sheets as they are packed • Mark boxes with appropriate inventory tags to ensure proper documentation • Answer any questions the customer may have regarding packing of their belongings • Assist as needed in loading trucks and/or containers for forward movement via interstate commerce • Other duties as assigned Working Conditions: • Indoors and outdoors • Lifting of objects up to 50 pounds • Frequent squatting and bending • Frequent use of stairs • Driving in the region and locally Preferred Education and Experience: • High school diploma or GED but not mandatory • CDL Class A / NON-CDL Driver license.
