Join us for an outdoor story time and activity.
Do you wish to stretch your child’s imagination? Well, bring a blanket and join us on the lawn of the R.W. Norton Art Gallery each Friday as we read a classic children's fairy tale. Fill their souls with stories of magical lands and watch as they revel in the mystery of a quiet walk in the woods with possible talking animals and magical items behind every tree. Each week we will read a different tale that has been told to children for generations. Accompanying each book will be a hands-on activity and garden quest packet designed to guide participants as they explore the enchanted gardens in search of magical items or beasts related to each week's tale. The books and activities are most appropriate for Pre-K through 3rd grade, but any age is welcome. Adults are encouraged to partner in the activity and garden quest with their children. To help maintain social distancing guidelines, tickets will be limited. One activity and one garden quest packet will be handed to the ticket holder upon arrival. The entirety of this event will be held outdoors.
A check-in table will be located near the building and story area. Please be mindful that the museum is closed and there are no bathrooms or water fountains available.
Length of event will be between 30 - 45 minutes.
