That's because most people don't have the time, inclination or know-how to do it themselves. Sella changes all that with a simple model: Hire a neighbor to sell your stuff. You can learn more about Sella, our mission, and how it all works at We're hiring neighbors (that's you!) who want flexible, part-time work to operate Sella Hubs in Portland. Our local reps do all the stuff that requires handling items, like photos, inspections, storage, meetups and shipping. And a team of remote experts does all the other work, like research, pricing, writing, listing management and responding to buyers. Here's how the job works: Items are dropped off at your house (no furniture, nothing big/heavy) by a Sella driver, or local customer. You use your smartphone to complete a series of tasks like inspecting & photographing the items. You store items in your garage, basement, closet, extra room, etc. (You can store items anywhere that’s convenient for you — as long as the items remain clean and dry.) You do NOT have to do the work to research, price, describe, write listings, post items, update listings or answer buyer questions throughout the day. Our remote team takes care of all that. When an item sells locally, you bring the item to your front door to hand it off to a courier or local buyer at a scheduled appointment time that's convenient for you. If you're up for doing occasional deliveries by 9pm the next day, you can earn extra cash. And if you know you won't be home for more than a day, you can put your inventory on hold ahead of time. When an item sells on a site like eBay, you'll earn extra to ship it within 3 business days using a prepaid shipping label. Compensation This is a freelance, pay-per-task gig with target earnings of $18+ per hour depending on the speed at which you complete tasks. And - unlike walking dogs, delivering groceries and driving for ride-hail services - you can do most of the work at home, on your schedule, in your PJs! Of course, the amount you earn will depend largely on how much space you have to store items, how many hours you have to do small tasks like taking photos / inspecting items, and how available you are for meetups. Generally speaking, this is a good opportunity to supplement your income with $3,500 - $12,000+ per year, doing a few hours of work per week around your schedule.
