Position Summary: Logistics Manager supervises the installation team & warehouse team while managing the overall flow and needs of the warehouse. Daily Responsibilities: o Schedule and Receive incoming trucks o Audit the installation crew’s daily reports o Secure fleet & drivers required for transportation of product and supplies for all routes o Manage the scheduling of all requests assigned to the warehouse team o Work closely with scheduler in keeping customers apprised of upcoming installations and schedule changes o Approve and distribute crew schedule weekly, update and re-distribute as schedule evolves o Ensure that all job prep paperwork has been thoroughly reviewed and that all special accommodations / install necessities are clearly marked and notated for the warehouse and installation teams o Cross reference outsources invoices with timesheets and bids if applicable o Field all warehouse calls o Delegate work order requests to warehouse/installation staff members o Oversee job costing with assistance from operations support team Management Responsibilities: o Supervise 5-10 operations staff members, providing direction and identifying training opportunities o Conduct quarterly reviews of operations staff metrics alongside Operations Director o Develop/Maintain policies and procedures for continuous logistical improvement o Create ‘stocked’, ‘for sale’ & ‘demo’ inventory list. Assist in developing a process to maintain the traffic of inventory utilizing Hedberg o Distribute ‘for sale’ inventory report to sales staff on a weekly basis o Develop and maintain the inventory of warehouse/installation equipment & supplies, using cost efficient tracking and management system Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: • High School Diploma • 3-5 years operations/logistics experience • Extremely organized and able to multi-task • Ability to efficiently lead field personnel staff members • Ability to communicate and build strong relationships with management and customers • Works independently with little supervision but communicates regularly with management • Inventory and Inventory Control Experience Desired but not required skills: • Furniture installation experience or knowledge of the furniture industry
