JOB TITLE: Dry Storage Attendant JOB SUMMARY: Preform all aspects of the Dry Storage Division guidelines in an efficient, professional and safe manner. Responsible for the day to day operations and maintenance of all wet slips and dry storage facilities as well as any project or assignment directed by the manager.. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Launch and retrieve vessels stored on trailers using tractors and the jib crane. • Maintains a safe working environment. • Greeting and working with customers in a professional and informed manner. • Receive and respond to phone calls and e-mail correspondence with customers • Scheduling haulouts and launches and any other service related activity. • Filling out daily reports and data entry. • Monitoring tenant accounts for current payments and insurance prior to any move or activity. • Ensure that Tenant vessels are up to company standards and vessel information is accurate and up to date. • Maintain hard copy of tenant information file as well as Marina Office software files. • Monitors docks and dry storage area to assure compliance with company vessel standards, maintenance, and cleanliness. Reports any red tag Issues to his supervisor. • Assists customers in a prompt and courteous manner. Communicates with potential customers professionally • Ensures proper controls for safeguarding of Marina assets, including but not limited to equipment and inventory. • Routinely inspects and ensures an above average appearance of all areas under jurisdiction • Understands and complies with government regulations pertaining to Storage Attendant functions. • Ensures and takes appropriate action for the proper maintenance of tractors/tuggers boat hoist, boom crane and other equipment assigned to the storage crew. • Ensures that all company equipment is secure each evening prior to lock up. • Ensures the safety of customers, including being familiar with fire equipment and extinguishers. Is familiar with and complies with Company IPP plan. SUPERVISION: Given: Dry storage staff, dock and dry storage maintenance crew Received: General Manager, Dock Master, VP Operations EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: One-year previous work experience, with maintenance accountabilities preferred. Will consider equivalent marine and related service station experience with maintenance experience. KNOWLEDGE: General Boat knowledge, handling and terminology. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Basic math computation skills. Ability to swim. English language skills, written and oral- Ability to drive various motor vehicles. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers, displaying exceptional customer service skills. REQUIREMENTS 24-hour telephone contact for emergency response. Must be licensed driver. Must show proof of insurance and maintain insurability on an on-going basis. Works weekends and holidays as required and needed for the successful operation of the Marina. PHYSICAL STANDARDS: Requires ability to walk or stand continually on uneven surfaces. Ability to work around fumes and electrical equipment. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and to withstand prolonged exposure to the sun. Able to swim.
