Jean Larrivee Guitars in Oxnard is seeking hardworking people for stable fulltime employment. We are a family-owned manufacturer of Acoustic & Electric guitars here in Oxnard and are currently looking to expand our workforce due to increased demand for our instruments. We currently have two production positions open, with more opening up every two weeks. No prior experience is required, and no formal education is required. You can speak English, Spanish, or both. What is required is a positive attitude, and solid work ethic. New hires should be able to stand, sit, walk, bend to the floor, and reach overhead. Typically, you will not need to lift more than 25lbs. These positions are excellent for both men and women. For reference, our staff is made up of equal parts men and women. Position 1 is in our ‘Kerfing’ Department. This person is responsible to help assemble guitar frames (gluing the pieces together), as well glue in strips of reinforcing wood called kerfing. The person is also responsible to sand the guitar frame. Person may also be responsible to glue other guitar parts together (such as the soundboards, backs, and fingerboard binding trim). Position 2 is located in our ‘Paint’ Department. This person will work as part of a tight nit team of women that works together to complete daily tasks. These tasks include: sanding guitar bodies and necks between coats of paint, applying a rub on finish on guitars, and removing completed instruments from painting racks.
