NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The former North Andover High School student accused in 2019 of multiple rapes in New Hampshire pleaded guilty to several charges Tuesday. Eliezer Tuttle, now 20, pleaded guilty Tuesday to two charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault and one charge of 2nd degree assault; strangulation, according to court records. Tuttle was sentenced to three and a half to seven years in prison and is required to register as a sex offender. The case was expected to go to trial in the coming months, with jury selection scheduled for April 12. After Tuttle's arrest in Feb. 2019, police said he raped a teenage girl in his car outside of a Salem, NH restaurant then raped her again later that day outside of a movie theater in Epping, NH. Tuttle faced prior sexual assault accusations in North Andover and had been on probation Tuttle had been on probation since Nov. 2018 for sexually assaulting another student. Tuttle's arrest led to changes in how the high school handles sexual assault accusations; the school abandoned the use of controversial "safety plans" that victims were asked to sign when their assailants returned to the school. In 2019, Tuttle's parents denied the charges against him in a statement released through his attorney.
