Milford Will Get To Vote-By-Mail In Spring Election

MILFORD, MA — Milford voters will get to cast ballots by mail in the spring election after all. Following the November election, the state was set to sunset pandemic voting rules by the end of March, meaning elections after March 31 would be held completely in person. But this week, state officials extended that deadline until June 30. Like Milford, most towns in Massachusetts will hold spring elections after the original March 31 deadline. To vote by mail, Milford residents will need to return a ballot application to the Town Clerk. A ballot will then be sent in the mail, and can be returned up until the end of Election Day on April 6. Town Clerk Amy Neves advised interested voters to apply as soon as possible. Because Town Hall is still closed, there will not be any in-person absentee or early voting ahead of the spring election, Neves said.
