Description
Thank God It’s Natural, a manufacturer of textured hair care products, is looking for someone for a Warehouse Associate in our Shipping Department. Our Shipping Team is responsible for shipping out orders to our major retailers like Target, Walmart, and Ulta.
The ideal candidate should have:
· 3+ years of prior warehouse experience
· 2+ years of picking/packing experience
· Experience operating a pallet jack and pallet lift
· Strong attention to detail
· Basic math skills
· Proficiency reading, writing and speaking English
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
· Stamina to stand for long periods of time
· Communicating with coworkers to provide and receive direction
· Clean criminal background check and drug test
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Receiving and checking of incoming orders
· Order picking, packing and processing (e.g. wrapping pallets)
· Verify accuracy of shipments via visual check of quantities and identification
of products
· Perform inventory cycle counts
· Check inventory levels of bulk products and replenish as needed
· Maintain a clean warehouse
· Maintain a safe working environment
· Maintain warehouse equipment
· Assist with special projects as needed
· Order picking is estimated to be 75% of the job, other warehouse duties to be 25%
· Load and Unload trucks
· Perform other duties as assigned
Our office is located in Chicago, ½ north of the United Center just west of Fulton Market.
