Spring Break Horse Experience!

Description
This one-time, private horse experience targeted to elementary or middle school aged children will include all the features of a horseback riding lesson as well as extra time spent grooming the horses, visiting the farm, and working with at least two different horses to see some of their similarities and differences. There will be both riding and ground work as well as a basic horse chore included. This Experience is meant to replicate a shortened version of a day camp, which we are not offering this year due to Covid. Each child's Experience will look slightly different from another based on age and individual desires. A typical Experience might look like meeting some of the horses in the barn, choosing one to ride and first grooming it, then learning parts of tack and how to put it on the horse, and then riding for up to 30 minutes. After riding, the horse will be cared for and put away, then a second horse may be chosen to be groomed and worked with from the ground. After that, the student may help clean a stall or prepare feed for the horses, and then may meet the goats or chickens to finish the Experience. The Spring Break Horse Experience is offered through the end of March, during weekday daytimes. Helmets are provided. Students must wear closed-toed shoes or boots with a heel. Guardian must stay on the property during the Experience, but need not be hands-on. The Experience lasts 90 minutes for a single child and the cost is $90. For multiple children from the same family/Covid bubble the Experience may last up to 2 hours. The cost for 2 children is $140 and for 3 children the cost is $180. We cannot accommodate more than 3 children in one Experience and recommend splitting them by age into different Experiences. If the student enjoys their Horse Experience we do offer riding lessons. Please include in your inquiry how many children, their ages, and at least 2 days you are available. We will schedule Experiences in the order we receive this information and we only have 2 spots available per day (times vary).
