OXON HILL, MD — The National Harbor will open a drive-through dinosaur exhibit Thursday. The interactive display will be open through April 11. An audio tour, available in English and Spanish, will guide each car through the fictitious Pangea National Park. Attendees will see more than 40 moving dinosaurs, including T. rexes and Triceratopses. Visitors will also learn about the lives of these prehistoric creatures. Every group will get a survival pack with a passport to Pangea, a scavenger hunt and other fun surprises. Along the way, "earthquakes might erupt, dinosaurs could battle, and audience members may have to help save a baby dinosaur's life." "We're so excited to welcome this unique, educational and entertaining experience to National Harbor," Jackie Saunders, Assistant Vice President of Marketing at the National Harbor, said in a press release. "It's the perfect outdoor, socially-distanced attraction for our region, our residents and our many visitors." Imagine Exhibitions, a traveling display company, created the experience with paleontologist Gregory Erickson. They call it "Dino Safari." Tickets for the 60-minute tour start at $49.95 per vehicle of up to seven people. Organizers expect sellouts, so they encouraged booking in advance. Passes are available for purchase here. The exhibit will be set up in The Plateau parking lot, located at the corner of National Harbor Boulevard and Waterfront Sreet. "We are thrilled to be bringing this safe and fun experience to families into the Washington, DC, area, particularly in light of the many challenges everyone has faced over the last year," added Tom Zaller, the President and CEO of Imagine Exhibitions. "Our animatronic dinosaurs transport visitors to a land of prehistoric proportions! We know that this is going to be one of the best ways for families to enjoy their spring break!"
