About the position: You will be responsible for collecting signatures from verified voters. We will train you on all the campaign tools used. As representatives of the campaign, canvassers must be able to effectively communicate with others in a professional and pleasant manner and must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time. This work requires you to be in person and interact with people outdoors to gather petitions. We provide PPE for each member of our team and are committed to your safety. We are happy to work out individualized accommodations for each of our team members. Responsibilities: -Engage registered voters through door-to-door canvassing. -Collect petition signatures and meet daily goals. -Maintain quality of all data collected and clean petitions at the end of each shift. -Strictly follow the campaign's goals, messaging, and safety protocols (including the use of PPE and compliance with daily health and safety guidelines) Requirements: -Must currently be a registered Democrat in the state of New York -Access to a smartphone -Able to commit at least 30 hours between March 15th - 22nd -All candidates are required to follow the campaign's goals, messaging, and safety protocols (including the use of PPE and compliance with daily health and safety guidelines). -Previous petition collecting experience is preferred but not required.
