⚠️ Our NEXT SEARCH meetup will be SUNDAY 3/21/21 at 12pm at San Miguel Park Search location will be given once we meet at the park. ⚠️ ⚠️ Exact search location will be given in person. We are meeting at the park listed at the address given on this event page. Please meet us there at 12pm. We will meet at the table to the left of park before getting to playground (next to basketball court). You will notice a gazebo with 4 tables. ⚠️ We are now in the second month of Maya Millete’s disappearance. It’s now our groups 4th ground, air and water search and we need to keep on going. Thank you to all the community members, organizations, news, and SD Sheriffs that keep on searching with us. We must not stop supporting her family, we must continue searching for May until she is found! If you have a Maya shirt, or Neon Green clothing (May’s favorite color) please wear it for support! Everyone will be appropriately divided into teams, team leaders will be given a topographic map as well as a detailed map regarding their specific ground search location, ground/air/water search and safety protocols, May’s flier with the number to CVPD along with the case #, a first aid kit, a safety whistle, and green earth ribbon for possible evidence identification and my contact info. We will go over basic safety rules on site and get everyone checked in before starting our search. This is not a grab and go search. Please be patient and ready to follow instructions. Our ground searches are detailed and highly organized and group attentiveness is important for everyone’s safety. *Please message me if you have access to air or underwater drones, metal detectors, certified SAR dogs, divers or sonar equipment. If you have a boat or canoe/kayak and would like to help us please let me know. Please don't forget to bring adequate water and a snack for your search. If anyone would like to donate food for volunteers/searchers please let me know, thank you! The weather is predicted to be 63 degrees, partly cloudy/sunny. Please wear adejmłquate sunscreen. I suggest a long sleeve and a short sleeve shirt. A pair of pants and good pair of hiking boots/trail shoes are recommended as well as bug/tick repellent, hat/head protection, any medicine you may require, hand sanitizer and your mask! Covid rules and protocols still apply. *If you have hiking sticks and snake gaiters please bring them for your own protection.
