Description

ROMEOVILLE, IL —On March 27, the Will County Health Department & Community Health Center will be hosting a first dose, COVID-19 community vaccine clinic for special needs individuals 16 years old and older, their caregivers and caregivers for children with special needs. The event will last from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and be held at Lewis University's St. Charles Borromeo North Campus, 101 Airport Rd. The event is for Will County residents only. The Health Department said it will do its best to ensure the clinic is conducive to sensory and mobility issues. Appointments are necessary and those getting a vaccine will have to present a letter from a doctor stating they are eligible in 1B or that the parent qualifies as a caregiver. There is a sign-up page with appointment times online, and the special code for getting an appointment is: SPECIALNEEDS. A flyer posted on the Disability Resource Center Facebook page also features a QR code that will take the user to the bookings page.
