DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in Downers Grove has increased by 69 cases in the past week, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). This reflects a notable increase from the previous week, which showed an increase of 45 cases. As of March 9, the village had reported 3,539 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 3,608 as of March 16, reflecting a rise of 1.9 percent. The previous week's increase was 1.3 percent. DCHD recently began sharing the number of probably coronavirus cases in each municipality. In Downers Grove, there have been 464 probable coronavirus cases. Including probable cases, the total coronavirus case count for Downers Grove is at 4,072. The total number of cases reported in Westmont as of March 16 was 1,863, which reflects an increase of 1.4 percent. Last week's increase was just over .6 percent.
