SOUS CHEF ZEST CULINARY SERVICES (POINT PLEASANT, PA 18938) Tired of standing on the line, not ‘having a life’ and countless weekends working??? We are growing and looking for a very detail oriented individual to help us prepare meals with fresh ingredients using from scratch cooking methods. We focus on high-quality, customized prepared meals for a variety of customer needs. Join us as we help our clients Eat Well, Live Fit and Have Fun through food! Responsibilities: -Work with and assist the Executive Chef as a team player to execute daily tasks. -Ability to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef. -Starting hours are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8am-5pm. -Minimal nights/weekends based on catering demand. Desired Skills and Experience -Very detail-oriented. We work with a variety of clients who have various needs. Meals must be made consistent and to those needs. -Extremely confident and comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail- oriented kitchen environment. -Strong ability to work under pressure with little supervision and ability to stay calm and focused in all situations. -Fun, high-energy and brings a positive attitude to the kitchen. -Team player who can be flexible as the needs of the business changes and grows. -Ingredient knowledge and ability to substitute when necessary -Must have capabilities in: ingredient knowledge, butchering, excellent knife skills, food safety/handling/ServSafe-BCDH Certification, maintaining a commercial kitchen, excellent cooking/prep skills and ability to produce gourmet food.
