Description

Black & White-grey Tuxedo Border Collie with speckled socks, clipped Male, about 50 pounds. This breed is High Energy, very intelligent and people-friendly, but perfectly content to sit quietly at your feet for hours. Experienced service dog with over 1 year of residence in a hospital. This is a "working dog" breed that generally needs serious exercise daily, both mental and physical. He loves to solve problems. Caveate: This dog does not like to be left alone, especially crated. Good with friendly dogs, but not so good around aggressive dogs. LOVES squeaky toys but tends to be obsessed with getting that squeaker and tearing it out of the toy. Training: He is very good off-leash (and so, very good on-leash), very affectionate, aware that kids are more fragile than adults, loves to chase anything (but is not so dumb as to chase the single coyote beyond his mental leash of about 300 yards), decent with a flying disc, can climb thin-rung ladders, crawl under to other side of a coffee table, truck or whatever on command, will get into a pickup bed without the gate down on command (and stay they until released even when a rabbit bolts) and many other tricks. He's fast; can run 22-25 mph. Trained to stay in front of and to the right of a car bumper, speeding up and slowing down to the sound of the engine. Stops when car/truck stops and looks at driver (annoyed that he has to stop running!) No voice commands needed. Not much of a barker, except when excited about upcoming fun: "C'mon, throw that ball!" or when in bed of truck on way to running area or when running 20mph and engine noise signals accelerating to 25mph. Yes, there is a re-homing fee. Some new toys, his old bed and further information comes with. Please email phone to discuss.
