NOTE We know not all schools are on spring break this week and are piloting this program during the MPS spring break week for 2021. Please e-mail us your school district at [email protected] so we can add it to our list of potential programs for the 2021-2022 school year. SAFETY POLICIES Policies may change as pandemic response guidance from the City of Milwaukee and MSOE adapts. At this time, participants and their families should expect to adhere to the following requirements. Our University wide updates along with policies, including gatherings and facial coverings, can be found here: https://www.msoe.edu/about-msoe/raider-return/ Please review the following guidelines to ensure the health and safety of your student along with our students and instructors. •Facial coverings or masks are required to be worn at all times by participants and must cover the mouth and nose. This includes parents or guardians at all times while in MSOE buildings. Facial coverings may only be removed when more than six feet from other people when outside or while participating in activities in which facial coverings cannot practically be worn, such as eating or drinking. Per University policy, failure to abide by this policy will result in campus visitors being asked to leave the premises. Students who refuse to wear their facial coverings during the program may be removed if they do not comply with instructor guidance. Refunds will not be issued for removal in this instance. If your student is unable to wear a facial covering due to medical reasons, please contact us at least 1 week prior to the program so we can explore accommodations to ensure your student and others have a safe experience. Our team will have a limited supply of masks on hand for students who need facial coverings. •Stay home when appropriate; please make sure your student is free of any symptoms potentially related to COVID-19. You can view a list of symptoms here from the CDC. •Students who have symptoms upon arrival will not be admitted to the program. Students who become sick while on site will be isolated from other students immediately. The on-file emergency contact will be notified, and the student will remain separated until a parent or guardian is able to retrieve the student or the end of the program day, whichever comes first. Students who are separated from the group for this reason may or may not be able to receive instruction depending on the program activities and format. •When you pick up your child, please ensure 6 ft of separation from others in waiting areas and wear a facial covering. Parents may stay in commons areas at the program location as long as they continue to maintain social distancing and wear a facial covering at all times. •Classrooms will be setup to maintain social distancing with 6 ft between student seating •Instructors will wipe down work areas and shared-space locations with disinfecting cleaning solutions.
