Hello! I'm Carly and I've just moved home from NYC because of the pandemic. Located in Belmont with a huge backyard, I've been giving singing lessons at my keyboard outside for a month!  What I provide: Vocal development and song interpretation for voices of all ages, backgrounds, and orientations. Carly's emphasis is in musical theater, pop, and teaching high belt technique.  She also works with classical singers to finesse their pop and musical theater contemporary sound. We do vocal warm-ups, repertoire coaching, repertoire exploration, audition coaching, acting and more. I can help form, write and direct a musical set, cabaret or musical presentation for your school play, choir, church or theater. I have connections to musicians if you are looking to form a trio or jazz band.  We discuss personal goals and work towards them at your pace. Maybe you want to be on Broadway, do your own solo show, or maybe you want to get that solo in your church choir. I'm here for all of it in a non-judgmental and encouraging setting. I welcome anyone who is lgbtq+ and am eager to create a safe space for all. My rate is $65 an hour, and if you have two people from the same household, we can do two lessons for $100. I am dedicated to making singing and performing accessible to EVERYONE regardless of money, so please reach out so we can work with what rates you can pay.  About Carly Ozard: Bi-coastal singer-songwriter and vocal instructor Carly Ozard is from Belmont but lived in New York City for the past decade. She has a background in musical theater, concert and nightclub work and recording. Signed to an EDM Dance Label, Carly works with many edm producers worldwide and has charted in multiple countries. Her music on sale on CDBaby, Apple Music and Beatport as well as available for streaming on Spotify. As an actor, she has studied at the Stella Adler School of Acting and trained in singing with Opera and Musical Theater instructors Badiene Magaziner and Bill Schuman. She is a member of Actor's Equity, and has played Magenta in the Rocky Horror Show, Nettie Fowler in Carousel, originated two roles in two different musicals with the New York Theater Barn, headlined Feinstein's at the Nikko and Feinstein's 54 Below, Stage 72 at the Triad, and The Friar's Club. She has been in the glorious ensembles of The Lamplighter's, 42nd. St. Moon and Foothill Music Theater. She made her Lincoln Center Debut in 2019 as a vocalist, and has appeared aside Broadway, TV/Film luminaries such as Alice Ripley, Martha Wash, Rita Moreno, Leslie Jordan and more. Carly appeared with Music Under New York, busking for years singing classic rock, folk and pop, in the New York subways, garnering international fans and followings.  Recently, she has been exploring teaching voice to children and is discovering a new love imparting musical knowledge to eager voices. She looks forward to this new direction of development, working with the performers of tomorrow.
