Here's the link: http://www.dfsw.org/Events.html FAQ's What are field trials? Field Trials are official AKC (American Kennel Club) events that give your AKC-registered dachshund the opportunity to show off their skills in following the scent of a rabbit under the watchful eyes of judges and other dachshund lovers. No rabbits are harmed. Do I (or my dachshund) need experience? No experience necessary. The hardest part is reading and filling out the registration forms, and we can show you how to do that. Your dachshund was bred for this event and already knows how to do everything else. What do I need to bring? The essentials are what you would bring for a day hike with your dachshund. But remember to include: Snacks and water for yourself and your dachshund. (We usually have a lunch option, but COVID.) Your dachshund's AKC registration information. Cash or check for the registration fee. Your blank or pre-filled entry form (one for each day). A sturdy stick, sturdy hiking pole, or old golf club is also helpful to beat brush and get the rabbits moving. Can I take a rest break? You will have many chances to take a break. There's an hour (or so) break for lunch. There are many opportunities to take a break. There are pit toilets and standard toilets nearby. What is the degree of physical difficulty? Expect paced hiking over mostly sand / gravel, through some scrub brush and over small hills. More info on our Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dfsw.org
