Her first career in the “city that never sleeps” landed her in real estate development. However, in a pivotal moment of realization, Alissa opened her eyes to a much-needed new approach to both life and career. In 2009, Alissa said goodbye to her lifetime in New York and traveled to find her peace and passion in life. Since then, Alissa has created and evolved Phat Buddha into a successful one size fits all activewear brand. Yvonne Chen | Co-Founder & CEO of Vecinos Market Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Yvonne spent many years of her career in progressive leadership roles in Corporate America. After having her daughter and engaging in some soul searching, she pivoted to entrepreneurship in order to apply her skills and expertise into building a united and mindful community of small businesses and residents and Vecinos Market was born. Ayssa Di Pietro Goldwasser | Founder & CEO of Miami Beach Bum Post-grad school worked on coastal engineering in Miami-Dade. Worked on cutter suction dredge as part of Port of Miami Expansion and with Adventure Environmental on seagrass/canal restoration projects. Annabelle Torgman DeGrazio | Co-Founder Taja Collections Annabelle crossed paths with her fellow co-founder, Annie Jensen Japur, at the same Biglaw Law Firm in Miami. The A-team connected first through design: they both decorated their offices to perfection--from gold staplers (yes, all gold everything) to luxurious candles. But they soon bonded on a deeper Level: their gift for all things thoughtful. It wasn’t long before TAJA was born. Launched in June 2017, the purpose was to create what was missing from the market: customizable home accessories. Leslie Weil | General Manager of The Moxy South Beach Leslie Weil, originally from Peru, brings over 20 years of progressive, hospitality experience. Leslie has truly worked her way to the top from the start of her career as an Intern in housekeeping to her current role as General Manager at the popular Moxy South Beach Hotel.
