Description

Enjoy a happy hour flow followed by an herbal workshop Health and wellness is a vital aspect of our lives, now more than ever. As restrictions are relaxed and we begin to be able to congregate again, our focus is on getting trainers back to business and getting YOU healthy. Strength In The City is back in 2021 to bring thoughtfully curated health and wellness pop-up events to the Denver community. Join us Thursday, March 25th at The Flow School, a Reactiv property, for yoga with Kimmy Hidalgo, followed by learning how to make your own herbal tinctures with Maddie Bergner with proceeds benefiting STRENGTH IN THE CITY Foundation. All you need is a yoga mat, water bottle and a mask. Kimmy is a yoga teacher, and Realtor in the Denver area. She’s been in the fitness industry for over 18 years and always enjoys moving her body, in any way she can, whether through dance, yoga, hiking, or mountain biking. In 2013, she started feeling a calling to go deeper in her physical and spiritual practice, and in 2015, she received her yoga certification (RYT 200). Kimmy always creates a welcoming and loving environment in her classes and encourages her students to tap into their heart space through authentic movement. If she’s not out selling homes or hanging out with her 3 year old sassy daughter, you can find her teaching at Rooted Heart Yoga Wellness, as well as hosting different pop-up events in the Denver area, such as moon ceremonies, women’s circles, and more. Follow her on Instagram to keep up with her teaching schedule: https://www.instagram.com/kimberslife/ Maddie Bergner is a licensed acupuncturist & herbalist in the state of Colorado. She received her Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Maddie received her BA in Chinese language and politics and the University of Virginia. Her deep interest in Chinese culture and traditions along with her passion for connection and health inspired her path toward becoming an acupuncturist. Maddie’s philosophy as a practitioner is grounded in patient empowerment, education, and community. Though she welcomes patients with an array of health concerns, she specializes in treating mental and emotional health, digestive disorders, pain, women’s health and fertility. There is a $15 suggested donation, however, we encourage everyone to participate regardless of ability to donate. *All participants will be required to take a brief wellness exam upon entering the building and remain in masks while inside. If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, have been in close proximity to someone who tested positive or is experiencing symptoms, or have tested positive in the last 14 days, please stay home and join us for our next class. Equipment involved with the HIIT portion will be sanitized between each participant and all staff will remain in masks for the entirety of the event.* About STRENGTH IN THE CITY Foundation STRENGTH IN THE CITY Foundation (SITCF) is a 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on bringing mental and physical health & wellness to the community.
